Description:

The Way Ahead publication began in 2005 as a magazine written by and for young professionals in the upstream oil and gas industry. It includes articles on a range of technical topics, the business of oil and gas, and career issues. TWA was published three times per year, but 2016 it evolved from a printed magazine to an online resource. The content of all prior issues is included, along with content posted on a more frequent basis as part of the evolution from magazine to an online resource for students and young professionals.  As of 2Q2017, TWA contains 13 departments each with specific content requirements.  Volunteers can support more than one department at a time as they gain tenure with the team.

Interested applicants:  Prepare to share the latest copy of your resume/cv and a one page letter addressed to the Managing Editor as to why you want to join the TWA Committee and how you feel you will provide value. The TWA leadership team reviews all applications.

Expectations:  Selected applicants are expected to serve a minimum three-year commitment.  Volunteers are responsible for producing quality articles per our production schedule.  They must also be open to brainstorming, writing, sourcing authors for articles, and editing others’ written work.  Applicants must be an SPE member in good standing.
